Investing Simplified

At Raffer Investment Group we believe that good financial decisions don't have to be confusing. We provide simple, time tested techniques that can help you make the most of your money and help achieve more of your financial goals.

Most financial advisors focus 90% of their attention on investing, which is like putting gas in a car and not thinking about the brakes, airbags, steering, and headlights. All play an important role in getting you where you're going safely.

This website will walk you through our no cost no obligation process for showing you exactly how we can make your retirement a success.

We serve individuals and businesses in all areas of financial management, including:

Retirement Planning

Making the most of your employer-sponsored retirement plans and IRAs. Determining how much you need to retire comfortably. Managing assets before and during retirement.

Tax Management

Looking for ways to help reduce your current and future tax burden. Referring you to qualified tax specialists.

Estate Planning

Reviewing your wills and trusts. Helping preserve your estate for your intended heirs. Helping with beneficiary designations. Reducing exposure to estate taxes and probate costs. Coordinating with your tax and legal advisors.

Risk Management

Reviewing existing insurance policies. Recommending policy changes when appropriate. Finding the best policy for your situation.

Education Funding

Recommending investment and accumulation strategies to help you pay for your children's education.

Investment Planning

Determining your asset allocation needs. Helping you understand your risk tolerance. Recommending the appropriate investment vehicles to help you reach and exceed your goals.

Employee and Executive Benefits

Provide recommendations regarding corporate benefits such as 401(k) plans, proactive tax planning, deferred compensation plans, non-qualified savings plans, stock option plans, and life and disability plans.

We've spent years developing this process in order to put our best foot forward and treat your time with the respect it deserves. Your goals, needs, and concerns are unique. Your Financial Planning should be too. We'll help you cut through the noise and develop a strategy that aligns with your long-term goals and risk tolerance.

Step 1 - Initial Phone Meeting

Before commiting to the process this 20 minute call is to determine if we're fit for each other. Think of it as a casual conversation where we both ask questions. If it seems like there's potential, we'll continue. If not, there's no commitment or obligations.

Step 2 - First Meeting

The first time we "meet" we'll gain a deep understanding of your current financial strategy, goals, needs, and risk tolerance. At this point we will have already collected your financial information and be attempting to learn about the person/people behind the numbers.

Step 3 - Developing a Plan

During this step we'll be applying over 40 years of experience answering questions like:

  • 1. When should I take social security?
  • 2. Am I overpaying in taxes?
  • 3. How should my investments look as I enter this phase of my life?
  • 4. Are there any threats to my retirement that can be reduced or eliminated?
  • 5. Can I afford to retire?
  • and more....

Step 4 - 2nd Meeting

During this meeting we will explain exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals. We make it our goal that you understand how we came to these recommendations. The plan we present will be yours to take whether or not you hire us. From here you've got some important decisions to make and you might want to take some time to think about it, in fact we enourage it.
There will never be any pressure to commit or hard sell. If you decide not to move forward we will shake hands and wish you the best.

Step 5 - 3rd Meeting and Paperwork/Implementation

During this meeting we will answer any questions you have and if you're ready, begin the paperwork to welcome you to our family.

Who We Serve

Retirement is knocking on your door

We work with those close to retirement (usually 5 years or less). This allows us to tailor our service and expertise to the unique needs of retirees.

Financially capable

Our clients may not be "rich" but they've spent their working years saving considerably. They have at least $500,000 available to fund their retirement and have realistic spending goals.

Mutual respect

The people we work with respect what we do and we enjoy working with them. They respond to us in a timely manner and don't view our time together as a burden.

Trust but verify

Our clients respect our opinions and trust our guidance. However, that doesn't mean they don't want to be involved and understand what's going on. They're not looking to drive the car, just to sit shotgun holding a map.
